Bayside Suite

A modern collection of street and park ready furniture, bridging the gap between the success of Draffin’s modular Wandin Suite furniture range and new furniture trends.

The entire range features carefully crafted powdercoated aluminium frames. These architecturally inspired frames have been designed to ensure high performance in both standalone and modular applications.

Bayside frames feature optional frame end-panels to further refine their appearance. Choose the lightweight feel of the ‘Frame’ style, or opt for one of two solid designs: the clean, modern ‘Blank’ end panel or the ‘Grooved’ end panel, featuring contemporary machined detailing inspired by Victorian Neoclassical styling.

Bayside also features 60mm x 30mm timber or aluminium battens with specially formed outer edge battens for comfort and lux styling.

The suite presents a comprehensive range of commercial outdoor furniture that comprises of features and options beyond what is normally available for a standard suite. With such a large array of standard options, Bayside has the ability to suit more applications.

Bayside Straight Furniture

Whether used in standalone or modular applications, the Bayside Straight Seat with Back is a striking piece of furniture.

Bayside Straight Bench

Bayside Straight Tables have been designed as an ultra-configurable commercial grade outdoor table product. While also available in the same sizes as the seats and benches, table frames can be specified with “Square” leg or “T” leg frames to accommodate the different size seat or bench models in the range.

Bayside Tables also keep DDA requirements squarely in focus, so you can select side or end access for wheelchair users for almost any size table.

Block Stools share most of the characteristics of Bayside furniture, but feature a formed aluminium sheet, folded to meet the square batten top on either end. Choose blank sides or add the machined grooves for extra styling. Stools provide a smaller footprint seating option, ideal for more intimate layouts or add an extra seat to the end of larger table settings.

Modular Connectivity

Draffin have endeavoured to make Bayside a simple modular product to work with, while providing a comprehensive collection of furniture with a standard set of shapes and sizes, maximising choices to make a seating layout profile that fits any space. Bayside furniture employs bolt-down mounting for fixing furniture to the ground.

End to End

Furniture can be placed end to end to form the seating profile required without the need for extra brackets. Simply locate the furniture where it will be mounted ensuring the end of each furniture piece lines up with the next, and bolt down using your preferred fixing solution.

Modular Cast Angle

Changing angle? Simple and small modular aluminium cast angle mounts are available in 45° and 90° angles. Designed to imitate the batten profile bending to a new angle. These cast angles provide a natural tight curve that can be used on Bayside seats or benches.

Bayside Bar Tables

Bar Tables are fast becoming a common street furniture choice. The elevated seating position provides a casual dining experience most suited to viewing or lookout spaces. Bar tables have traditionally been offered with slimmer widths suggesting brief refreshment stops, ideal for bars or cafes. Full size bar tables provide more table space, better suited extended group dining.

Bayside Slim Bar Tables can be used either side for a more compact bar table setting that seats more people, but lends itself better to lookouts, outdoor spectator sports or other viewing areas, or alternatively against walls. Available in two sizes: 1200mm and 1800mm and include a footrest bar.

Full size Bayside Bar Tables make for great roadside dining furniture pieces. 4 seats for 1200mm long tables, 6 seats for 1800mm long tables. An elevated dining experience outside take-away shops. Also includes a footrest bar for comfort and extra structural support. When coupled with bar stools that also have footrests, the comfort increases with more places to rest your feet.

Bayside Modular Platforms

The Bayside Suite includes four platform benches incorporating the same modern and sleek Bayside aesthetic. Platform benches are becoming a popular choice for large open space design providing a compact single seating option that can be used by multiple groups simultaneously. In addition to the platforms, modular backrests can be added to create multipurpose outdoor furniture pieces.

Bayside Platforms come in 1200mm and 1800mm square sizes, and two rectangle shapes.

While larger pieces compared to Bayside seats and benches, platforms actually provide more seating in a compact space. Usually placed centrally in large open spaces, they are perfect for casual group meetups, regrouping or huddles, and quick pitstops to gather bearings or do up your shoelaces. Because of the shape, multiple parties can use one at the same time.

Public Platform Bench with additional Backrest Module at Frankston

Couple a platform with a Backrest Module, and you have transformed it into a multipurpose furniture piece. Part platform, part chaise, part table setting. This combination is very well suited to lookouts or beachfront views. Add a picnic basket and some beach towels, and a small group could spend the whole day on one!

The backrest module matches lengths with the Bayside Platforms and also comes in standard and bar table heights.

The Double Backrest Module allows a combination of platforms and benches, depending on your application. They do have a more relaxed backrest angle which is unlike most public seating that follows AS1428 and DDA guidelines for comfort. Any combination that includes the double back rest module makes them an extra-large furniture piece, and more suited to large open spaces.
