Resources and Guides Hub

Built for public life, Draffin’s Resources Hub brings together the technical information, materials and compliance guidance, installation and assembly instructions, and specification documents needed to design, plan, and deliver long‑lasting public spaces.
Here you’ll find detailed product data, material guides, installation information, accessibility considerations, and maintenance recommendations — all created to support councils, architects, landscape designers, and contractors working across Australia’s public realm.
Every document reflects our commitment to engineered durability, Australian manufacturing, and permanent installation. Whether you’re selecting outdoor furniture for a streetscape upgrade, preparing documentation for a school project, or ensuring compliance with AS 1428 accessibility requirements, this hub provides the clarity and confidence needed to specify with accuracy.
Use these resources to compare materials, understand lifecycle performance, access CAD and Revit files (coming soon – call for CAD/Revit). For specification sheets on seats or benches, table settings, planters, bin enclosures, and other street‑furniture elements, head directly to product pages.
It’s everything you need to make informed, standards‑aligned decisions — all in one place.

    S/S Guide

Draffin’s stainless steel knowledge is backed by ASSDA (Australian Stainless Steel Development Association) providing practical knowledge and training of the correct use of stainless steels to ensure extraordinary long life in outdoor environments. This guide details the stainless-steel grades Draffin use, the treatments included at the manufacturing stage, finishes, and even the science behind why stainless steel is by far one of the best materials to manufacture street furniture with.

  4. 04.

Weathering steel can be misunderstood due to its natural “patina” finish. It behaves more like stainless steel once it has developed its outer rust layer. The surface layer actually protects the material from further corrosion, and due to natural development in its environment, slowly changes colour over a long time. This guide explains what to expect from this material, and how to maintain it.
