The City of Boroondara, East of Melbourne, recently undertook a re-modelling of the iconic Harp Village precinct to create feature spaces for people to stop, rest and gather.
As a key part of this project, city architects developed concepts for a suite of seats and totem poles to reflect the heritage of the area. Being the site of the old Cobb and Co coach works inspired the designers to come up with a concept that incorporated heritage aspects such as recycled timber and corten steel, juxtaposed with modern elements of stainless steel and composite slats.
