Draffin Street Furniture have recently completed a project for the City of Boroondara to detail and construct a very unique concept as part of the Camberwell Market Upgrade.
The scope of the project was to construct and deliver 10 bespoke seating elements as part of the Camberwell Market Upgrade. Each element consists of stainless steel waterfall seat mounted to a precast concrete block, and a letter of the phrase “FOOD MARKET”. A variety of materials were used, including Stainless Steel, Timber, Galvanised Steel and Concrete. Working to a very tight timeline, Draffin worked heavily with project managers from council to co-ordinate an on time delivery of all items.
Draffin Street Furniture specialise in projects of this nature, working with customers to bring concepts to life.
Managing Director Ian Draffin is the 3rd generation of this family business. “The challenge of a project of this nature is to meet the visual and functional design intent that the architect envisages, and at the same time apply our experience and expertise to ensure that the quality and durability of the product is maintained. The only way to achieve this is to work together in partnership with our customers to achieve the best result for them” says Ian. “We get a real kick out seeing how we can contribute to a project”
